Vava Suresh with his mother and other family members

Thiruvananthapuram: Surviving the cobra bite after treatment at Kottayam Medical College, Vava Suresh, the hugely popular snake-catcher in the state, reached his house in Cheruvakkal here to meet his mother. It was his wish to see his mother Krishnamma before leaving to the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College for rest as per the suggestion of doctors.

Though Suresh interacted with his mother on phone after surviving the critical condition, he was waiting to meet her in person. Suresh's mother broke down in tears on seeing her son who returned from the edges of death. Both hugged each other. Suresh also spent time with his father Bahulayan, siblings Sathyadevan and Laly and other family members before leaving for hospital.

The doctors suggested two weeks of rest at the hospital as his body is prone to infections including Covid-19. Notably, before suffering snake bite from Kottayam on January 31, Suresh was already taking rest for injuries he suffered from a car accident that happened at Pothencode mid-January.
