Kozhikode: The office of Team Thai in Kozhikode has quite a wonderful sight to behold if you ever step foot inside the building. The grandeur of modern architecture like open workspaces, full-length glass windows, hanging conference halls, decorations with car parts makes the place unique beyond imagination. But now, Aashiq Tahir, the head of Team Thai, decorated his office wall by mounting a full-body Porsche 911 car on the wall.
Weighing two-ton, and still functional, this car holds a special place in the heart of Aashiq since 2010. In the earlier days, Aashiq travelled a lot in the car and has crossed more than one lakh kilometres. This motivated him to put it on the wall of his office here.
"It was not easy for a real car to be fixed to the wall without causing damages. There was space to park the car. But questions arose as to whether the wall could support the car or keep it safe for a long time. With the help of Porche Kochi, the dealer of Porche in Kerala, we managed to mount the car safely on the wall within five months.
Aashiq is also a travel enthusiast. He also teamed up with Amazon Prime UK and Deepak Narendra to produce a car travel series called 'Car and Country'.
