Ruler of UAE gifts Rs 10 lakhs to 4 men who rescued a pregnant cat

The four men received prize money of 50000 Dirhams (10 lakhs in Indian money) each from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Dubai: The four men in a viral video, rescuing a pregnant cat that was falling from a height of 30 feet, now receive a prize money of 50,000 Dirhams (10 lakhs Indian money) each from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, ruler of the Emirate of Dubai.

The four members are Abdul Rashid (Rashid bin Mohammed), a native of Vadakara, who owns a grocery shop in Dubai, Nasir Mohammed, a native of Kothamangalam, who works as a bus driver there, Ashraf Blenza, a Moroccan security guard and Atif Mehmood, a Pakistani salesman.

On the 24th of this month, Nasir Mohammad, Ashraf and Atif rescued the cat that had fallen from a height of 30 feet in Deira Murar area of ​​Dubai. The cat which was slipping from the height was caught safely with a thick blanket and was left free. Abdul Rashid shared this video on Instagram and it went viral within seconds.

Sheikh Mohammed saw this video and re-tweeted it by praising them. It gained attention across the world.

On the same day, senior police officials reached the spot and collected information about the four men. Later, an officer from Sheikh Mohammed’s office came and handed over the gift.
