Pathanamthitta: Two youths drowned in the Achankovil river while taking bath in the river on Saturday. They were identified as Prasad (38) and Pramod (36), both natives of Chavara in Kollam.
The bodies were recovered from a bush on the river bank near Mannikadavu on Sunday morning.
Both were missing from Saturday following which a search was launched. It continued until Sunday.
A three-member scuba team from Kottayam, Station officer V Vinodkrishnan, Manoharan Pillai, Paul Varghese, Vinod Krishnan and Arun Krishnan took part in the search operation.
