Thiruvananthapuram: As power supply from the Centre is falling short, Kerala might continue with the load shedding to tackle the shortage. A 15-minute load shedding was enforced on Thursday night.
The failure of the 400KV substation at Gujuwaka in Andra Pradesh, hasn’t been repaired. Also the coal production at the Simhadri, Ramagundam and Talcher Power stations have dropped. All these have led to a shortage of 350 megawatt electricity in Kerala.
The authorities said an improvement in the present situation cannot be predicted and load shedding may continue on Friday too, if the power supply from Centre does not improve.
