New Delhi: A seven-member bench of the Supreme Court will consider petitions regarding women entry in Sabarimala temple from January 2020.

On Saturday, the apex court registry directed all parties involved in the case to hand over four more sets of documents of the petitions filed so far.

The bench will consider around 70 petitions in connection with Sabarimala women entry. In the notice sent to the parties involved, the SC registry stated that it will consider petitions including the one filed by Indian Young Lawyers Association in 2006 seeking women entry to the hill shrine.

The apex court bench will also consider petitions challenging the SC verdict of September 28, 2018 which allowed women entry in Sabarimala. Moreover, the bench has listed a plea form Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) seeking more time to implement the SC verdict.
