PSC exam scam: 3 more policemen arrested


The crime branch is continuing its investigation to find more people involved in the examination fraud.

Thiruvananthapuram: New cases have been filed against three more police officers in connection with the PSC examination scam. Crime branch has filed cases against Ratheesh, Abin Prasad and Lalu Raj of SAP camp.

The policemen were accused of trying to save their colleague Gokul, who was arrested earlier for helping the students copy in the exam by forging fake documents. The documents were meant to prove that Gokul was not present in the exam centre and was there in the station. The crime branch is continuing its investigation to find more people involved in the examination fraud. Gokul has also been named as an accused in the new case.

Sivaranjith, Nazeem and Pranav, who were SFI leaders in University college, secured a place in the rank list through illegal means. Sivaranjith had even got first rank in KAP 4 Kasaragod battalion rank list. The SFI leaders were exposed after they were arrested in connection with stabbing a student of University College. Later, police officers Gokul and Safeer were arrested for helping them with the malpractise.
