The revelations in this regard was made by Abdul Hakeem, a middleman of Rayan Traders, who participated in the tender for the contract. The major allegation is that the amount was written after breaking the concealed tender.
Also, they alleged that the municipal engineer informed them on the previous day of the tender that the contract was given to Prompt company. The engineer demanded Rs 5 lakh for getting the subcontract for removing concrete waste, they complained.
In total, four companies participated in the tender for removal of debris produced during demolition process. Prompt company was given the contract at a difference of only Rs 10,000. Meanwhile, no response could be obtained from the Prompt company.
