Alappuzha: M Anjana has taken charge as the new Alappuzha district collector. While interacting with the media persons, she said that alternative arrangements will be made to help the people to avoid having to visit various offices repeatedly.
She also said that the priority will be given for providing services to the public at the earliest in the most transparent way.
“Alappuzha is the district that saw the worst side of the recent floods. The first priority will be for its rehabilitation works. This is also the district with the most number of coastal areas. The problems in those regions will also be given importance” Anjana told the media.
Talking about the tourism prospects of the region, the new collector said that there are many things that can done in this regard and that heritage tourism will be given importance. There will also be intervention from the district authorities in connection with the construction of Alappuzha bypass.
M Anjana is the 51st collector of Alappuzha district. She is also the seventh woman to helm the post. She is a native of Pattam in Thiruvananthapuram. The former staff of the Chief Secretary belongs to the 2013 batch of IAS officers.
