Kochi: Arrested Pulsar Suni, the main accused in the actress abduction case, is firm on his statement that he had attacked the actress only to blackmail her and get money. However, his plan failed the moment he came to know that the actress had gone to police and narrated about the incident.

Suni told police that he had committed the crime only for his lover so that he could lead a jolly life with the blackmailed money. Suni planned to blackmail Rs 50 lakh from the actress.

Suni told police that he had told the actress he would call the next day only to demand money from her. Suni said only he and the driver Martin were aware of their plan that they intended to execute. He also added that with the money he gets after blackmailing the actress, he intended to lead a luxurious life with his lover.

The moment Suni realised he would be nabbed, he discarded the mobile, in which he filmed the actress, into a canal. But the police who reached the place to locate the mobile from the canal, could not recover it.

Suni was taken for evidence collection early morning around Kochi in the police vehicle and police gathered information from him. The other accused Vijeesh was not taken along with Suni for evidence collection.

Police are also investigating whether Pulsar Suni was involved in these kind of blackmailing acts earlier. During interrogation, though Suni refused it, police did not buy his contention.
