Kochi: In connection with the actress attack case, actor Dileep filed a discharge petition seeking removal of his name from the list of accused. The petition was filed at the trial court in Kochi. The court ordered while hearing the case not to disclose the details in the petition.
Dileep filed the discharge petition as part of the trial procedures of the case. The initial procedures of the trial are progressing in the court. The discharge petition has been filed in this phase. Dileep has pointed out in the plea that the offences charged against him do not exist now. The woman judge in the CBI Special Court in Kochi is considering the case.
Earlier, Dileep and his lawyer had examined the visuals of the actress being attacked. The discharge petition was filed on the basis of this. The court made it clear that the details of the plea should not be leaked.
Presently, in-camera proceeding is progressing in the court as the privacy of the actress is a matter of concern. If the court rejects the discharge petition, Dileep will have to face the trial.
