Kochi: Actor Shane Nigam has apologised for referring to the film producers as mental patients. Shane has expressed his regret in a letter written to AMMA, Producers' Council and FEFKA. He has also requested for the issue to be solved amicably.
He expressed regret if his comments had hurt anyone. The president of Producers' Council, M Ranjith, has confirmed that they have received the letter. Any action on the issue will be taken only after AMMA executive meeting, which is scheduled to take place in January.
Meanwhile, the Producers' Association had made it clear that they will not hold talks with anyone who insulted the association. The controversial statement from Shane Nigam was made during the recently concluded IFFK.
