We can try a lip-smacking snack recipe to add colour to Eid celebrations. Cheesy chicken packets will be loved by both children and elders in the family.
Ingredients:
For chicken filling
Boneless chicken (finely chopped) - 1 cup
Crushed chilli - 1 tablespoon
Tandoori tikka masala powder - 1 teaspoon
Vinegar - 1 tablespoon
Pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Crushed garlic - 1 teaspoon
Curd - 1/2 cup
Orange food colour - accordingly
Salt - accordingly
For cheesy packet
Butter - 2 tablespoons
All purpose flour - 1 tablespoon
Milk - 3/4 cup
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Oregano - 1/2 teaspoon
Mozzarella cheese - 1/2 tablespoon
Fresh cream - 1/4 cup
Samosa leaves - accordingly
Preparation:
Mix all ingredients for chicken filling thoroughly and leave it aside for 30 minutes. Now heat 2 tablespoon oil in a pan and add the chicken mixture in it. Stir it well and cook it by closing the pan with a lid till the mixture turns dry.
To make the packet, heat butter in a pan. Then add all-purpose flour in low flame. Add milk, salt, pepper powder and oregano and stir well. Once the mixture turns into a thick consistency, add cheese and cream and mix well.
Place two samosa leaves in a cross shape and put the chicken filling in the middle. Fold the leaves in the shape of a packet. Cover it with the cheese mixture and fry in coconut oil. Cheesy chicken packet is ready.
