Healthy and colourful; have a cup of Hibiscus tea

Hibiscus or shoe flower which is commonly found in gardens is a medicinal herb. Most of us are familiar with natural hair oils and shampoos added with hibiscus flower. But the flower can also be used to make healthy drinks. Here is a variety of hibiscus tea recipe.

Ingredients:



Hibiscus flower - 20 nos
Cardamom powder - 1 pinch
Sugar / jaggery - accordingly
Water - 3 glasses
Cloves - 2 nos
Lime juice - 1 spoon

Preparation:

Boil water. Add thoroughly washed hibiscus flowers in the water. The water will turn into red colour. Then strain the flowers from water.

Now add cardamom powder, cloves and sugar or jaggery to the water and mix well. Add lime juice after it cools. Pour it into glasses and serve.

Hibiscus tea tastes better when refrigerated. Number of flowers can be increased to get darker colour and taste.
