Govt revises school reopening guidelines; Bridge courses, no parental consent

Children's education has been conducted online for the past two years.

New Delhi: The Ministry of Education has withdrawn the order seeking parental consent to attend offline classes in schools situated in areas where Covid cases are reported low. According to the new guidelines, the final decision on reopening schools will be made by the state government, said Sweety Changson, joint secretary of education. States may seek parental feedback if needed.

Children's education has been going online for the past two years. Bridge courses should be started to avoid stress that children may experience when the school reopens. The bridge course will make learners easier to study and remember the concepts taught in previous years.
